Description
Sand and Sea is a piece that shows the sea between land masses and how our planet is mostly water on the surface. On an everyday basis, we only see ourselves surrounded by land. We forget that we’re really surrounded mostly by water. It is a metaphor to remember to take the occasional step back and reflect on your life and become aware of what is actually taking place and how you would change or maintain a situation.
This piece is a part of my approach to abstract expressionism using alcohol ink. It balances my passion for the intensity of abstract expressionism with its explosive movements combined with the finesse of softer approaches such as the watercolor technique.
