Description
Ocean Djinn reflects on the myth of jinn which is an invisible spirit believed to inhabit the earth and influence mankind. They are capable of assuming human or animal form and are said to dwell in all conceivable inanimate objects—stones, trees, ruins—and underneath the earth, in the air, and in fire same as a genie. Ocean Djinn is to remind you to believe in the magic in this world but to also warn you to think about your wishes thoroughly as they might not turn how you expected or that you may not have thought about the consequences of your wish.
This piece is a part of my approach to abstract expressionism using alcohol ink. It balances my passion for the intensity of abstract expressionism with its explosive movements combined with the finesse of softer approaches such as the watercolor technique.
