Sunburnt Country

Description

Sunburnt Country was inspired by Bill Bryson’s book “In a Sunburnt Country”, a book describing Australia with facts and dark humor. This organic nature inspired shows balance, the fluid movement, and ease of how nature flows. For instance, water flowing in a brook and its flexibility to move around the obstacles.

This piece is a part of my approach to abstract expressionism using alcohol ink. It balances my passion for the intensity of abstract expressionism with its explosive movements combined with the finesse of softer approaches such as the watercolor technique.
